Wood Creek Lake is located in Laurel County about 6 miles northwest of London. The dam is a highway fill embankment on Interstate 75 about 9 miles north of London. This lake was completed in 1969. With over 200 miles of shore line and 5800 acres of water, the natural beauty of crystal clear Laurel Lake lies safely protected in the Daniel Boone National Forest where the water is pristine and the fishing is great!  Come to boat, fish, swim, scuba dive, or just relax.  Laurel Lake is known for Rainbow trout fishing.  Laurel Lake also offers excellent Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Catfish, and Crappie & holds the state record Smallmouth, 8 lbs. 12 oz., caught in 1998.
